The Boat That Rocked

Internetradiostation Mi Amigo 192 viert de première van de piratenspeelfilm 'The Boat That Rocked' met Engelse hits en prijzen. Luisteraars kunnen bioscoopkaartjes winnen of zelfs een nostalgische Boat That Rocked Retroradio.

In de week van 6 tot en met 11 april zendt Mi Amigo 192 een speciale Top 100 uit van platen die in de legendarische Engelse zeezenderperiode 1964-1967 in de hitlijsten hebben gestaan.

Tijdens het programma 'Van der Meer draait door' (19.00-20.00 uur) en de finale bij Bert van der Laan op zaterdag 11 april (16.00-18.00 uur) kunnen luisteraars rechtstreeks naar de studio bellen om kans op een prijs te maken.

The Boat That Rocked draait vanaf 16 april in de Nederlandse bioscopen. Het is een hilarische feel good comedy van Richard Curtis (maker van o.a. Notting Hill, Bridget Jones en Love Actually) met de sterrencast Philip Seymour Hoffman, Bill Nighy, Rhys Ifans, Nick Frost en Kenneth Branagh.

De film laat zien hoe enkele DJ’s in de jaren zestig met hun swingende piratenzender en miljoenen idolate fans het opnemen tegen de gevestigde orde en geschiedenis schrijven. Met jaren ´60 muziek van o.a. The Kinks, Van Morrison, The Supremes, The Rolling Stones, The Box Tops, The Moody Blues en met de nieuwe single van Duffy: Stay With Me Baby.

Opnamen voor de film zijn gemaakt op het schip Rock Radio dat vroeger gebruikt werd door Hospitaal Kerkschip De Hoop.
